Since last so many decades we have been listening this sentence.

After Independence looking at the span of 75 years, It is needless to discuss but, every farmer from all corners of the country knows where he stands, what he is doing, how much efforts he and his family is taking, how he is managing for all sorts of requirements for farming, how much he is struggling to face the natural calamities, finally what he achieves and what he gains , He only knows how he and his family is serving with shortage of money or even some time without money.

To overcome and come out of these critical situations, the only way is to take practical approach.

History

Before Year 1947, during Britisher’s Time, there were few Cotton Textile Industries came up in India, but to avoid competition to Manchester Mills; British Govt. put huge taxes on Indian Textile Products. British govt. never wanted to grow Industries in India.

In the year 1970 Govt. of India had planned in their 5th 5 year planning to give preference for Agro Products processing industries.

After that period, we can observe industrial growth for Agro base product processing started in few sectors such as Sugar Industries, Cotton, Textile Industries. Whereas in other sectors growth took place in Cement Industries, Paper Industries, Power Generation, Fertilizer Industries, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries etc.

Unfortunately other than Sugar Industries and Cotton Textile Mills, which spreads largely in India no other Agro product was looked upon and encouraged for.
